January 2016 (Year In Review)

Happy New Year! 2015 has been one amazing year! There have been a lot of things that I am so thankful for, that happened last year, but nothing compares to things I will talk about in this edition of my blog. Machines - This was the album that initially changed my sound. With new recording techniques and creative ideas taking place, including adding synth to my sound, this album was the catalyst that launched my music career to the next level.

Music Videos - With time off from gigging, we decided to focus on video. We ended up making several music videos this summer. That was something that I had always wanted to do. It was important to give our brand a face, and we did that the best way we knew how. I am so excited with the product!

Music for Our Maker - Not only did my praise band, For the City, release their first full-length album, but they also put on a concert for 2000 people at GT church. This was one of the most successful events that I've put on... ever. I was so excited to be a part of this.

Greatest Hits Album - This was easily my most successful album to date. There are several things on this album that give me chills to this day. It is one of the best engineered albums, one of the most flawless albums that I have ever done, and the anthology from 2005 to 2015 makes it even more special to me.

Just to get the privilege to record a Christmas album with the extremely talented Diva Samuels was awesome in and of itself. There's nothing greater than hearing your super-talented wife sing on two amazing Christmas albums. What was even more exciting was getting the honor to play the same songs at our Christmas Eve service with friends and family. What an enjoyable experience!

Greater Than - I am so excited to start promoting this new album. With a stellar theme, an epic sound, and some new ideas taking place, we are going to have a lot of fun with this one! We plan to release on May 10, 2016.

We've decided to do some rebranding, more graphic artwork, and we've got new equipment to bring you fun songs at a higher resolution and better audio quality starting in February! Merchandise - We are trying to make physical copies, T-shirts, and any other Jermaine Bollinger merchandise even more accessible to our fans. We've launched new stores on Facebook, new stores on our website, and are in talks with bookstores in the area to make our product more accessible! Gigs - With the help of our marketing firm, we are planning to play a lot more live shows this summer! We hope to see you at one of our events! We are so excited for what 2016 holds.
