HEAD DOWN. FAITH UP. SUN IS COMING...

When I write blogs, they usually align with personal situations in my life. With that being said, understand that these moments are applications for me as well as insight for you! We are all in this together, so I feel like my struggles are your struggles and vice versa.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

When we go through situations in this life, we have to understand the source more than anything. I love the quote, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” because it has biblical implications, and is used frequently when people are dealing with stressful situations.

With that being said, when those words are spoken, it can be hard to understand while in the situation, but in hindsight, we truly believe we are stronger by faith, in understanding, and most of all, through God guiding us and taking care of us.

I personally want to get to the point that Paul was. In the midst of his trial, he was being faithful and praising God because he knew that God was preparing him for something great, and this process is how you are made stronger; through guidance, correction, and reproof from God in the midst of your trial.

Counting it all joy doesn’t mean being apathetic or blissfully ignorant to your trial, it means that through the storms, you are being strengthened. Trials are trials for a reason. Skin is made tough through hard work, friction, abrasions, repetition, and honestly through pain. For example, guitar players have calluses on their fingers from consistent rehearsal and playing. If you don’t rehearse through the pain, the calluses fade and you are back to square one.

Passion has a cost and so does aligning with God’s will. Yet, freedom is on the other side. So, keep your head down in prayer, keep your faith up, and know that the sun is coming!

James 1:2-8

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
