Looking Back on 2016...
As we look over the past year, there are so many changes to be thankful for, and there are so many things that helped me grow in so many ways. 2016 is not over yet, but I think that this year was very much full of trials in my life, and that means growth, and to be honest, I’m okay with that.
As we look back at some of the notable shows from 2016, I know for a fact we enjoyed getting to play for Decatur Celebration one more time before leaving Decatur, the SYATParty event was very exciting for us to do, and the Youth Lock-In at PVCYM was also fun. I feel that every show we did in 2016 was special and I was so excited about doing them. 2017 is shaping up to be even more amazing with the types of shows that we have coming up.
This year we received a guitar sponsorship, a distribution deal, and many other awards as a band and we can’t be more thankful for them. Thank you to Moniker Guitars and CLG Music & Media for believing in us and helping us in our journey along the way.
For those of you who don’t know, I recently got a part-time job as a worship leader in Carbondale at Newbirth Kingdom Church. We just had our first service and I can honestly say I’m excited to be a part of a worship team once again.
We are currently working on my 31st full-length studio album titled Is Anybody Listening? We are very excited about the careful process of this album. I finished rough recordings, and during the month of January, Kyle, Keenan, and Robert will be heading down from Decatur to record. Of course, Josh will be down from Effingham sometime to work on the new album as well. The album is expected to release in October of 2017. We have a very special release planned for this new album, so stay tuned for the latest info!
We had to part ways with one of our own for understandable reasons. Brittany had to part ways with the group because of the new baby, and we are sad to see her go, but we hope her future endeavors are prosperous and fruitful! We will miss you!
Last, but certainly not least, ‘Home’ is still available for download on iTunes and Amazon. For those that haven’t heard about it yet, ‘Home’ is my holiday inspired single form my new album, Is Anybody Listening? Below are the iTunes and Amazon links:
As always, thanks for your support. Check out my tour page to find a show near you, and we hope to see you there! Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!
